As an Account Executive, you will be instrumental in devising and implementing the strategy for meeting performance targets through our ISO partner channel. Your role will be focused on (a) hunting new partnership opportunities with Independent Sales Organizations and agents and (b) nurturing new partners to be strong revenue sources for the company. You should maintain professional and technical knowledge of the payments and surcharging markets, as well as be up to date on industry trends and the competitive landscape. It will be your responsibility to ensure partners are productive (i.e., effectively closing deals for CardX), as your earning potential is tied to the success of the partnerships you bring to the company.


Key Responsibilities & Objectives

  • Devise and implement business plans to target and reach prospective partners in the payments and surcharging market
  • Actively prospect for new partners, as well as support and participate in corporate planning of demand generation activities (e.g., trade shows, conferences, etc.)
  • Manage and serve as the primary contact from full partner sales lifecycle
  • Support partner onboarding efforts (in conjunction with our Partner Success team) and maintain the partner relationship to ensure they are educated and actively closing deals
  • Effectively balance your time and activities between prospecting for new partners and driving productivity from existing partners
  • Drive smart execution with the partner of strategic and operational partner activities
  • Regularly research top competitors and industry news
  • Open communications with the sales team and marketing team to help promote campaigns
  • Learn, use, and adhere to company requirements around use of internal CRM tools, as proper activity tracking is a core component of our selling philosophy
  • Consultative, collaborative approach to selling and relationship-building
  • Be results driven, but relentless in desire to achieve results smartly and in line with our company’s culture and brand promise
  • Possess an impeccable track record of high character/integrity engagement with partners, their employees, and your colleagues
  • Have the desire to contribute to the broader goals of the organization beyond your immediate areas of responsibility
  • Have the desire to actively support, drive, and improve the culture of the company
  • Be coachable and able to take direction and feedback well, yet be forward-thinking enough to challenge the status quo
  • Be a brand ambassador in the local and industry communities through event presence and thought leadership
  • Other duties as assigned


Requirements

  • Experience in prospecting and signing partnerships required; payments processing experience and ISO partnership experience preferred
  • 2-5+ years experience in building and nurturing payment processing partnerships
  • Proven track record of regularly over-achieving against assigned sales targets
  • Proven track record of driving revenue growth through partnership lead generation optimization
  • Experience working with Senior management to align strategies and solutions
  • Excellent negotiation skills
  • Ability to work under pressure in fast-paced environment
  • Solution-oriented with the ability to think strategically and creatively across the decision-making spectrum
  • Strong attention to detail and work ethic, with intrinsic drive to exceed expectations and goals
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experienced and self-sufficient in use of presentation, productivity, and communication tools (e.g., PowerPoint, Excel, Slack, etc.)
  • Willing and able to travel as necessary to prospect, close/manage partnerships, etc.
