Building Snorkel Flow requires outstanding engineers and technologies across the stack, including scalable data pipelines, elegant and intuitive interfaces (both visual and programmatic), state-of-the-art ML modeling techniques, and best practices for seamless deployment. Modern AI approaches require large labeled training datasets to learn from. While traditional approaches typically rely on armies of human annotators to label by hand, Snorkel Flow empowers users to programmatically label and build training data sets to drive a radically faster, more flexible, and higher quality end-to-end AI development process. Snorkel Flow is an end-to-end development platform, complete with a GUI and powerful programmatic interfaces for driving the development process for full AI application workflows: from preprocessing, to programmatic training data creation, to ML model training, to analysis, and deployment. It's the data-first platform for enterprise AI.

As a Platform Deployment Architect you’ll lead the successful design and implementation of the Snorkel Flow Platform for our enterprise customers on-premise or hosted cloud environments. This is a new role to Snorkel and will be its founding member responsible for shaping the approach we apply to future customer engagements. You’ll work closely with our internal engineering teams improving the design, architecture and implementation of Snorkel Flow, as well as represent our customer facing teams as Snorkel’s platform expert. This is a phenomenal opportunity to join our customer success team and drive its strategy for the future.

Main Responsibilities

• Design, prototype, and refine scalable infrastructure for operating Snorkel's machine learning pipeline at scale within customer on-premises and cloud environments
• Lead the full lifecycle of a customer implementation starting with the initial internal hand-off from our Machine Learning Solution Engineering team to the implementation and testing of the Snorkel Flow Platform
• Work closely with our Product Management, Product Engineering, and Support teams to resolve issues that occur during the implementation
• In some situations, provide training and limited post-implementation support
• Be a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on the Snorkel Flow position, architecture, and product
• Contribute to the Snorkel user documentation, including but not limited to design, testing, delivery and training

Minimum Qualifications

• 3+ years experience in a Platform Engineering or similar role
• Previous experience with cloud infrastructure providers such as Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
• Hands-on experience with common container and container orchestration solutions, e.g., Docker Enterprise and Kubernetes
• Comfortable working in Linux environments
• Excellent problem solving, critical thinking, and interpersonal skills
• Experience supporting customer engagements as a Solution Architect, DevOps or System Administrator for commercial SaaS solutions
• B.S. degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or comparable degree/experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience operating Kubernetes orchestration tools in a production setting
• Proficiency in Python, especially when setting up automation and system monitoring
• Exposure to authentication protocols like LDAP, SAML and OAuth2
• Knowledge of industry standard technologies in the Data Science and Machine Learning space
• Expertise with Terraform
• Experience implementing software products or solutions to large enterprise companies
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, small-team environment where you’ll wear many hats
