About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to support billing and subscription infrastructure for our child care marketplace. The ideal candidate has prior experience working with payment systems.
This position is remote-friendly, or can be based in our San Francisco office once it is safe for our team to resume working together in person.
What you'll do
- Build, maintain, and test billing related features, tooling, and operations
- Support subscriptions using the Stripe API
- Work closely with the sales and finance teams
- Work across all levels of the stack, from the server and database to the client
- Design and architect new systems, with maintainability and scalability in mind
- Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to improve the product and drive user growth
- Collaborate with and learn from a talented team of engineers with diverse backgrounds and experiences
Who you are
- You have 6+ years of software development experience
- You have experience in a web framework such as Django or Ruby on Rails
- You have prior experience with a payments API such as Stripe
- You are flexible and able to pick up new technologies as needed
- You strive to improve processes and create documentation to make things better for everyone
- You provide mentorship to teammates as well as others in the community
